Won't You Join Me?

This is my entry for 's Across the Universe contest. One of the themes were fairytales and also an angel and demon theme, i decided to mix them up.

I grew up with Ukrainian fairytales and this particular picture is about a mermaid(rusalka) and how they lure innocent men and children and drown them. Basically a Rusalka is a girl who is unwed that got killed near a body of water and her spirit is restless and drowns others as revenge. My grandma just loved to freak me out with them -__-

Moving on, basically since rusalki dont have their own story and are seen as demonic creatures, I think I mixed the two themes for the constest to work together.

Finally about the actual picture, from the beginning I wanted Hinata to be the demonic one while not making her extremely ooc. I figured this legend was best suited for her and i just wanted make Sasuke clueless for once. The reason Hinata is scantily clad is because usually rusalki are shown to be naked, but I figured since that Hinata would be modest even in this state. So here is Hinata luring Sasuke to his death via drowning, not a happy ending I know but most of the childhood stories I grew up with rarely ever did.

P.S. and rusalki are not, in most cases, depicted with fish tails and instead have legs and super long hair.
